ABOUT

The waiting list for NHS care in England for assessment and medicating for ADHD is long, years in many cases leaving many people in limbo. What do people do if they suspect ADHD in the meantime? Where do people go for help? Who do you tell? Would it help to see examples of how others experience ADHD traits and have a place for you to log your experiences and any hacks you may have?

HYPERFOCUSED! looks at neurodivergence from the perspective of a middle-aged dad, RAF veteran, chief executive and sports fan who started this site at the time undiagnosed and sharing thoughts on his self-discovery ‘journey’ whilst wondering if it truly is ADHD or some of the traits in isolation. Whichever way, many of the traits resonate and so reading up on how they affect people can be helpful in understanding yourself better. This site was created whilst HYPERFOCUSED! and you have probably done lots with this extreme energy too!

This is not intended to be a site providing advice or clinical intervention. It is hoped that it can inspire people to be curious about themselves and others.

This is designed to help those awaiting assessment, diagnosed with ADHD or just interested to feel seen and supported so please do share your thoughts and experiences.
