Self-Check for ADHD

Why bother, I know I am ADHD?

This is the standard self-assessment tool used by health professionals and is a screening tool to establish whether there is a chance that you could be living with undiagnosed ADHD.

For some there may be financial benefits to being diagnosed or identifying that you have/are ADHD. In the UK for example, the government has an ‘Access to Work’ scheme aimed at helping people with disabilities and ADHD falls within the criteria.

I see some people posting on social media that they want to take a test for ADHD but that many are behind a paywall – not here it isn’t.

Also being diagnosed may help you to take a breath and really examine your life experiences since you were a kid. This may lead you to question how things could be different in areas you struggle in.

Also, it helps to think not only about how you may show signs of inattention or hyperactivity (physical or mentally) and other associated signs oddly not checked on the assessment form with Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) being one of the most impactful ones that can greatly affect your life particularly in relationships both romantic and social, work too.
