Want to get more active?

Many of us with ADHD traits struggle with motivation for what we know is helpful but feels daunting. We crave novelty and quick rewards/dopamine so how can we embrace this particularly when we want to become more active?

Many of us move so much less than we should due to working differently (from home/hybrid etc) and with less movement we may eat more through boredom and availability (is that the fridge shouting at me??)

To cope better with our neurodivergent traits being kind to our bodies makes a massive difference.

As someone who has always been sporty I have felt shame and embarrassment in putting on weight, overweight not quite obese. To cope with it I’ve reverted to comfort eating so you see the problem.

We need to make good habits fun and interesting and I’m now on that path.

One way of motivating yourself to move more is to track activities and be part of a community sharing stories and feeling more accountable.

To this end please join our Strava group using the free Strava app and be part of a growing group of pals helping encourage eachother
