Many people who believe themselves to have ADHD have found the last week or so very uncomfortable. Going into work has been hard for many. Additionally, talking with family or friends who watched the documentary has been hard too, challenging the existence of ADHD altogether.
The existence of ADHD was discredited due to a lack of scientific proof.
Ironically, the same program lacked scientific proof and relied on sensationalist reporting.
What was the angle here? Who gains from trying to pass an internationally-recognized neurodevelopmental condition off as a social construct?
In the video here, we have responded to the documentary with real lived experience of ADHD. Additionally, it also offers a critique, albeit a brief one, of the documentary itself.
Do not, whatever you do, allow yourself to be gaslighted into thinking that your ADHD is not real.
That includes gaslighting yourself.
